The folks as Webydo have produced this rather lovely infographic that has used a variety of data sources to visually represent the money spent on web design in the US in Nov 2013 and how it was divided up (the links to the sources are at the bottom of the image). It also shows the take up of various web design applications amongst amateurs and pro designers and developers.
I imagine some of this data is likely to be disputed and I think developers will take particular issue with the list of developer solutions and how their role is portrayed. Also, I am not sure why designers are shown as being afraid of developers or indeed completely devoid of development skills. Anyway, I thought it was worth sharing even if it is skewed towards promoting Webydo’s agenda. Your comments are welcome.
