If you are looking for a free HTML5 starter template to build your own site I would recommend Boilerplate or Initilaizr which allows you to download a responsive or Bootstrap version of Boilerplate.
There are quite a few designs styles in this list although they should all be responsive. Normally they have used an open source framework like Twitters Bootstrap to ensure a seamless layout transition for different screen sizes. Some are multi purpose whilst others have focused on appealing to a certain niche (i..e individual bloggers, photographers, companies, creatives, app developers).
